You’ll start with simple pieces of silver sheet and learn how to transform them into finished jewellery using traditional jewellery-making tools and techniques.
No previous experience of jewellery making is required - just curiosity and a love of beautiful things.

The Projects
Pierced Silver Pendant (or earrings)
Create your own silver pendant (or earrings) by transferring a design onto silver sheet and carefully sawing it out using a jeweller’s saw.
You’ll learn how to drill, pierce and refine your design so it becomes a clean, wearable piece of jewellery.
This is a wonderful introduction to one of the most satisfying skills in jewellery making.
Your First Silver Ring
Next you’ll create a classic silver ring from sheet metal.
You’ll learn how to:
• Calculate the correct silver length for your ring size
• Shape and form the ring
• Add texture to your design
• Solder the ring closed
• Pickle (a process that cleans the metal), finish and polish your piece
By the end you’ll have a unique ring that you made yourself from start to finish.
