DIPLOMA in SILVER Jewellery ONLINE

AGREEMENT 1 YEAR COURSE 

ONLINE DIPLOMA IN SILVER JEWELLERY AGREEMENT 1 YEAR COURSE

 

BETWEEN: Jewellers Academy Ltd and ………………..(“The student” including future change of name/amalgamation) of ‘The one year online Diploma in Silver Jewellery.

IT IS AGREED:

1)    Jewellers Academy will provide an online Diploma course for you (the student) which will include ongoing access to the online course modules after the course has completed. This Diploma is accredited by the Jewellers Academy Ltd.

2)    Jewellers Academy will provide a jeweller mentor with three 1 to 1 online sessions (1 per term) and three 1 to 1 marking sessions (1 per term). 

3)    All reasonable efforts will be made to run the scheduled live sessions as arranged. If, however, there are internet issues, staff illness or similar outside of our control we reserve the right to reschedule sessions if needed. Team sessions will be recorded and available to watch again and/or at a time that is convenient.

4)    As per the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from enrolling onto the course to contact us if you have changed your mind. A refund for the amount you have paid minus the bank card fees will be given unless the course has already begun and your tools have been sent to you. 

5)    The cost of the course is charged in GBP pounds sterling which includes VAT. If you are not based in the UK, any bank charges or fluctuations in exchange rate are the responsibility of the student 

6)       Terms on refunds and returns of materials or tools. For full payment of the course or partial payment of the course before or after the course has commenced, the student will not be able to return or receive a refund on any of the tools or materials that have been supplied for by Jewellers Academy. If the student pulls out of the course before the course commences or during the course, the student will not be offered a refund or partial refund on tools or materials. 

7)    We do not expect any issues, but any problems with tools and equipment sent will need to be dealt with directly by the retailer. The student will need to contact the supplier and send the item due to faults. If the student has opted to supply their own tools or materials for the course, then they must ensure that they have all the tools or materials from the itinerary list in order to complete the course. It is the responsibility of the student to check they have received all the tools or materials kit before the course commences.

8)    If the student is unable to keep up with the course content/criteria, we will allow the student to complete the course in their own time, however they will not be entitled to attend all 1-1 sessions or marking sessions for all terms. We are unable to offer a transfer to the next year unfortunately. They will also not be entitled to their end of year certification of the course. The payment for the course under this condition will still remain the same.

9)       Terms of payments. For full payment of the course or partial payment of the course or monthly payment of the course, the student will not be able to receive a refund before or during the course. If the student does decide to pull out of the course at any time, they will receive no refunds on payments received and will be required to complete course payments. For completion of course payments, it is discretionary if the Jewellers Academy wish to offer a cancellation depending on the circumstances of the student.

 

 

10)  Assessment 

a.    You will receive a full and detailed list of jewellery pieces that require assessment along with the marking criteria for each term. The required work must be sent, and postage paid for by the student which is sent to us by the deadline each term in order for you to be assessed. Students that complete the assessed work to the standard required by the deadlines imposed on this course will be awarded the Diploma in Silver Jewellery certificate which is accredited by Jewellers Academy when the course ends. If work is not completed and/or is not up to the standard to award the Diploma, then you will not be awarded the Diploma but may be awarded a certificate of partial credit for modules passed. 

11)  Late Marking: Diploma work needs to be submitted on time; any late work may not be assessed. The highest you can achieve for late work is 50%. If you have extenuating circumstances, you need to contact the Diploma Manager as early as possible. There may be additional fees to pay for marking of late work, students will be contacted to agree this before marking takes place.

12)  If the student misplaces or loses any of the tools or materials that have been sent, they will need to replace the cost of tools and materials themselves. Consumables e.g., saw blades, worn out polishing mops etc are the responsibility of the student to replace if required 

13)  The Student will be responsible for the insured special delivery of their pieces sent to us after each term who are based in the UK. The Jewellers Academy will be returning pieces to UK students via special delivery which is insured, tracked and signed for. International students are responsible for paying the delivery/customs/duty/tax charge when sending their pieces in for marking for each Term. We will return International students parcels via our Business courier which is tracked & we will cover all the delivery/tax/duties/customs charges so the parcel is returned safely to the student.

14)  The Diploma course is not transferrable. Online modules are strictly for the use of the enrolled student. 

15)  All students must create a Facebook account before the course commences which is really important as part of the course’s program learning experience with Q&A’s as well as upgrading their skills and knowledge.

16)  Terms and conditions of Force Majeure. The company will not be able to offer any refunds for all courses which includes: - war, terrorism, earthquakes, hurricanes, acts of government, plagues or pandemic (Covid 19), an act of government which imposes travel restrictions, quarantines, or trade embargoes. As the course is on an online platform, the course can only be affected by internet closure world-wide or mainland by the government which would then be the discretion of the Jewellers Academy to extend the course date till completion. 

17)  Please follow all safety guidelines for use of all the equipment and tools, use protective mats and surfaces to protect your furniture and yourself. Jewellers Academy will not be liable for any damages. We will provide a Health and Safety video and a risk assessment at the start of the course that students must complete when making jewellery in their homes, makeshift studios or workshops. They will also be advised to check their home insurance policies to comply with manufacturer’s instructions.

18)  All students will have ongoing access to the course after the Diploma has completed.

19)  Copyright: - By accessing this diploma, you are agreeing to be bound by these web site Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this web site are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

20)  Use Diploma License

a. Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on the Jewellers Academy web site for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

i. modify or copy the materials;

ii. use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);

iii. attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Jewellers Academy web site;

iv. remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or

v. transfer the materials to another person or 'mirror' the materials on any other server.

b. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Jewellers Academy at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

21)  The Jewellers Academy reserves the right to change these Terms at any time and will highlight this fact by a change in the date at the top of these Terms. You should review these Terms on a regular basis to ensure that you are aware of any changes made as you will be legally bound by any amended Terms if you continue to use our websites after the changes.

22)  Governing Law: - Any claim relating to Jewellers Academy’s web site shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales without regard to its conflict of law provision.

23)  Students that have ordered a Materials and/or Tools kit will need to provide a full address for shipping. Once the kit has been delivered, the student has up to 14 days to let the warehouse know if there are any items missing. After 14 days the student will need to replace items themselves if they have not notified us within the deadline. International students will need to ensure that they correspond with customs or duties to ensure they receive the kits they have ordered.

24)    Confidentiality:-Correspondance between yourself and Jewellers Academy is strictly confidential and cannot be shared with others including but not limited to the Facebook group, fortnightly Zoom groups and other forums.

25)    Students must inform warehouse@jewellersacademy.com if they have moved premises/home address. We will not be held responsible if the students parcel/certificate or badge is sent to there old home address without being correctly informed prior.

26)    In the facebook community group and group sessions, we will not tolerate abusive language, hate speech or bullying. Students are advised to contact the Head office or email a staff member to discuss their needs indivdually.

27)    Jewellers Academy reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event, online or in person, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. Jewellers Academy may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by Jewellers Academy including but not limited to: websites, online courses, promotional material, brochures, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc. If you are not willing to be included please contact contact@jewellersacademy.com to opt out.

28)    Diploma certification: - To pass this course and be awarded with the diploma certification you need to achieve 60% or above. To calculate this, we add up all of your marks at the end of the year and calculate your percentage. Students are given a full transcript of their marks. The hard copy diploma certification is stated as ‘successfully completed’ for the diploma they are awarded.

29)    Questions regarding running a jewellery business e.g. selling, marketing etc should be addressed during the live jewellery business Q&A/s or asked in the Facebook group. One to one mentoring on the course is designed to support you in learning the jewellery making techniques covered in the course.

IT IS AGREED:

1)    Jewellers Academy will provide an online Diploma course for you (the student) which will include ongoing access to the online course modules after the course has completed. This Diploma is accredited by Jewellers Academy.

2)    Jewellers Academy will provide a jeweller mentor with three 1 to 1 online sessions (1 per term) and three 1 to 1 marking sessions (1 per term). 

3)    All reasonable efforts will be made to run the scheduled live team sessions as arranged. 9)    This course is for Intermediate to Advanced level students only. It requires the student to agree and understand they already have all the basic skills and knowledge of jewellery making. 

                  (This is subject to and includes)

  • Comfortable working with the tools in a silver jewellery workshop-able to use the main tools, saw, file, pickle and polish.

  • They have learnt all the Term 1 skills in the ‘Diploma in Silver jewellery’.

  • Confident in basic stone settings-cabochon, tube and flush setting.

  • Advanced: - they have already successfully made one piece with a claw setting & one piece with a collet setting. If they have not completed this, then they must ensure that they have completed these skills before the course commences.

 

If the student does not have these skills and chooses to sign up to the course, then the Jewellers Academy reserves the right for the student to follow the course at their own pace and will not be offered 1-1 mentoring/marking sessions or receive their certificate at the end of the course. We do not offer any transfers.

IT IS AGREED:

1)    Jewellers Academy will provide an online Diploma course for you (the student) which will include ongoing access to the online course modules after the course has completed. This Diploma is accredited by Jewellers Academy.

2)    All reasonable efforts will be made to run the scheduled live team sessions as arranged. If, however, there are internet issues, staff illness or similar outside of our control we reserve the right to reschedule sessions if needed, Team sessions will be recorded and available to watch again and/or at a time that is convenient.

Failure to do so, will require the student to purchase their own as it is imperative that all the tools are checked before the course commences. We cannot supply missing tools after the course has commenced.

Correspondance between yourself and Jewellers Academy is strictly confidential and cannot be shared with others including but not limited to the Facebook group, fortnightly Zoom groups and other forums..

 

25)    Students must inform warehouse@jewellersacademy.com if they have moved premises/homeaddress. We will not be held responsible if the students parcel/certificate or badge is sent to there old home address without being correctly informed prior.

 

26)    In the facebook community group and group sessions, we will not tolerate abusive language, hate speech or bullying. Students are advised to contact the Head office or email a staff member to discuss there needs indivdually.

 

27)    Jewellers Academy reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event, online or in person, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. Jewellers Academy may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by Jewellers Academy including but not limited to: websites, online courses, promotional material, brochures, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc. If you are not willing to be included please contact contact@jewellersacademy.com to opt out.

 

28)    Diploma certification: - To pass this course and be awarded with the diploma certification you need to achieve 60% or above. To calculate this, we add up all of your marks at the end of the year and calculate your percentage. Students are given a full transcript of their marks. The hard copy diploma certification is stated as ‘successfully completed’ for the diploma they are awarded.

 

29)    Questions regarding running a jewellery business e.g. selling, marketing etc should be addressed during the live jewellery business Q&A/s or asked in the Facebook group. One to one mentoring on the course is designed to support you in learning the jewellery making techniques covered in the course.

AGREEMENT 1 YEAR COURSE 

ONLINE DIPLOMA IN METAL CLAY AGREEMENT 1 YEAR COURSE 

BETWEEN: Jewellers Academy Ltd and ………………..(“The student” including future change of name/amalgamation) of ‘The one year online Diploma in Silver Jewellery.

IT IS AGREED:

1)    Jewellers Academy will provide an online Diploma course for you (the student) which will include ongoing access to the online course modules after the course has completed. This Diploma is accredited by the Jewellers Academy Ltd.

2)    Jewellers Academy will provide a jeweller mentor with three 1 to 1 online sessions (1 per term) and three 1 to 1 marking sessions (1 per term). 

3)    All reasonable efforts will be made to run the scheduled live sessions as arranged. If, however, there are internet issues, staff illness or similar outside of our control we reserve the right to reschedule sessions if needed. Team sessions will be recorded and available to watch again and/or at a time that is convenient.

4)    As per the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from enrolling onto the course to contact us if you have changed your mind. A refund for the amount you have paid minus the bank card fees will be given unless the course has already begun and your tools have been sent to you. 

5)    The cost of the course is charged in GBP pounds sterling which includes VAT. If you are not based in the UK, any bank charges or fluctuations in exchange rate are the responsibility of the student 

6)       Terms on refunds and returns of materials or tools. For full payment of the course or partial payment of the course before or after the course has commenced, the student will not be able to return or receive a refund on any of the tools or materials that have been supplied. The student will need to contact the distributor/supplier of the tools directly if there are any faults. If the student pulls out of the course before the course commences or during the course, the student will not be offered a refund or partial refund on tools or materials. 

7)    We do not expect any issues, but any problems with tools and equipment sent will need to be dealt with directly by the retailer. The student will need to contact the supplier and send the item due to faults. If the student has opted to supply their own tools or materials for the course, then they must ensure that they have all the tools or materials from the itinerary list in order to complete the course. It is the responsibility of the student to check they have received all the tools or materials kit before the course commences.

8)    If the student is unable to keep up with the course content/criteria, we will allow the student to complete the course in their own time, however they will not be entitled to attend all 1-1 sessions or marking sessions for all terms. We are unable to offer a transfer to the next year unfortunately. They will also not be entitled to their end of year certification of the course. The payment for the course under this condition will still remain the same.

9)       Terms of payments. For full payment of the course or partial payment of the course or monthly payment of the course, the student will not be able to receive a refund before or during the course. If the student does decide to pull out of the course at any time, they will receive no refunds on payments received and will be required to complete course payments. For completion of course payments, it is discretionary if the Jewellers Academy wish to offer a cancellation depending on the circumstances of the student.

 

 

10)  Assessment 

a.    You will receive a full and detailed list of jewellery pieces that require assessment along with the marking criteria for each term. The required work must be sent, and postage paid for by the student which is sent to us by the deadline each term in order for you to be assessed. Students that complete the assessed work to the standard required by the deadlines imposed on this course will be awarded the Diploma in Metal Clay certificate which is accredited by Jewellers Academy when the course ends. If work is not completed and/or is not up to the standard to award the Diploma, then you will not be awarded the Diploma but may be awarded a certificate of partial credit for modules passed. 

11)  Late Marking: Diploma work needs to be submitted on time; any late work may not be assessed. The highest you can achieve for late work is 50%. If you have extenuating circumstances, you need to contact the Diploma Manager as early as possible. There may be additional fees to pay for marking of late work, students will be contacted to agree this before marking takes place.

12)  If the student misplaces or loses any of the tools or materials that have been sent, they will need to replace the cost of tools and materials themselves. Consumables e.g., saw blades, worn out polishing mops etc are the responsibility of the student to replace if required 

13)  The Student will be responsible for the insured special delivery of their pieces sent to us after each term who are based in the UK. The Jewellers Academy will be returning pieces to UK students via special delivery which is insured, tracked and signed for. International students are responsible for paying the delivery/customs/duty/tax charge when sending their pieces in for marking for each Term. We will return International students parcels via our Business courier which is tracked & we will cover all the delivery/tax/duties/customs charges so the parcel is returned safely to the student.

14)  The Diploma course is not transferrable. Online modules are strictly for the use of the enrolled student. 

15)  All students must create a Facebook account before the course commences which is really important as part of the course’s program learning experience with Q&A’s as well as upgrading their skills and knowledge.

16)  Terms and conditions of Force Majeure. The company will not be able to offer any refunds for all courses which includes: - war, terrorism, earthquakes, hurricanes, acts of government, plagues or pandemic (Covid 19), an act of government which imposes travel restrictions, quarantines, or trade embargoes. As the course is on an online platform, the course can only be affected by internet closure world-wide or mainland by the government which would then be the discretion of the Jewellers Academy to extend the course date till completion. 

17)  Please follow all safety guidelines for use of all the equipment and tools, use protective mats and surfaces to protect your furniture and yourself. Jewellers Academy will not be liable for any damages. We will provide a Health and Safety video and a risk assessment at the start of the course that students must complete when making jewellery in their homes, makeshift studios or workshops. They will also be advised to check their home insurance policies to comply with manufacturer’s instructions.

18)  All students will have ongoing access to the course after the Diploma has completed.

19)  Copyright: - By accessing this diploma, you are agreeing to be bound by these web site Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this web site are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

20)  Use Diploma License

a. Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on the Jewellers Academy web site for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

i. modify or copy the materials;

ii. use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);

iii. attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Jewellers Academy web site;

iv. remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or

v. transfer the materials to another person or 'mirror' the materials on any other server.

b. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Jewellers Academy at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

21)  The Jewellers Academy reserves the right to change these Terms at any time and will highlight this fact by a change in the date at the top of these Terms.
